Aprilia On The Road

Howdy everyone,

I found this forum via a web address on a photo from another website. Sadly, my ability to read Italian is near zero but I thought I would register here, say hello, and post a link to a few photos of my 2002 Caponord here in Arizona:

Since the pictures were made I have replaced my 2002 Capo with a 2003 model. The 2003 was found last year with only 1800 miles on it (2900km) and is almost too nice to get dirty!

If I understand the questions correctly:

The exhaust pipes on the blue Caponord are Remus Grand Prix mufflers. They were not very quiet but did sound wonderful! My red Caponord still has the stock Aprilia mufflers on it and is too quiet.

The slightly odd looking seat seen in some of the photos has a sheepskin cover on it to make the seat more comfortable, especially in our very hot Arizona weather. Link: http://www.alaskaleather.com/

A small story for you: I had an Aprilia Falco but feared trouble from the police because the bike made me do things someone my age should not do. I traded the Falco for the 2002 Caponord and loved the CN very much. But then I met a nice lady and need money for the wedding. I sold the Caponord and got married but always missed the Caponord.

A friend of mine had the red 2003 Caponord and it had only 1800 miles on the odometer. He had other bikes including an MV Agusta "Ago" Edition so the poor Caponord got ridden very little. In December 2006 I offered to buy his red Capo from him and he accepted. I was very happy to have another Aprilia!

I will look through my Caponord pictures and see if I can find a few more to put on-line for my Aprilia friends here.
