Having an international forum is a great idea, and the English discussion board is also fine but......why does the only posting on it, other than your introduction, consist almost entirely of postings in Italian?!

I understand enough Italian to get through the registration process (although more than 30 minutes later I am still waiting for a password to be emailed to me) but most English/American people won't. To fully encourage English-speaking contributors I think you need an English index and registration page. Perhaps also a translation (as a "sticky" post) of the function buttons (e.g. Anteprima = preview, Invia = send/post etc) would be a help, if a fully English page isn't possible.

But in the hope that other people make it onto the site, hi, my name's Ian. I've had my Capo for only a week and have covered 350 miles (560km) in that time, trying to get the 1000km service out of the way before Christmas. Happy with it so far - it's improving with every mile it covers. Next May I will take the bike to Jerez (southern Spain) for the MotoGP (3000 miles/4800km) and later in the year to Sicily (3,700 miles/6000km) where my partner's family comes from so I'm hoping it will cover distance as well as it appears to far.

Hopefully this post in English will encourage other postings but some assistance from the site administrator might help!

Great Ian! :salta:
this is the type of "friends" we're looking for...

someone who, sharing our same passion for Aprilia "all oround" bikes, is willing to share also pros & cons, suggestions and trying to "drive" the development of these motorcycles to an always better reliability and fit to our needs… (am I dreaming? maybe, but it’s for free… ;-) )

so… we perfectly know that we still have a lot of work to do, and many things have to be enhanced…
but we’ve decided anyhow to start, also if we were not “fully ready”, because with the help of all the people posting we did the same in the last couple of years… and the site you see is the result! :tutticontenti:

…and your post is the right “witness” of how we expect and would like to grow…

so, give us a hand, go on and “spread” to others CN & Pegaso owners our link…

Hi Bert, first of all benvenuto! ;-) :welcome:

The "paramani" as correctly stated by Radarman are the handguards, and they belong to the BMW 1150 GS... we're trying to obtain more info from Aprilia regarding the new OEM M.Y. 2004 handguards, but since now no news... :-(

We're waiting from Max, the owner of the handguards pictures, some more details and descriptions on how he has proceeded...
as soon as we have it, we'll translate it also in English...

Cheers
Mandi!

lamps is a abbreviation of italian word "lampeggio".
Someone is usual to use the flash to salute other motorcyclists (but isn't a good thing...)
We prefer do it with the hand

Hello to you all, my name is Erwin and live in Antwerp in Belgium. My silver Capo is my trusted companion since 05/2002 and never left me standing somewhere for 18000 km now. Normaly I follow the conversations at the Yahoo-forum (English) But I think this initiative in Italy is worth suporting. My English is terrible but my Italian is 0. I love the north of Italy (the Alps) to drive my bike. We in the north had a meeting last year in april and managed to get a line-up of seven Capo's. Hope to get even more people together this year. We are planning to get together somewhere in the center of the Netherlands in the weekend of 24-25/04/2004.
Ciao
