Aprilia On The Road

Hi everyone,

My name is Håkan and i live in sweden. Yesterday after a lot of thought i bought a Capo. It's a 02 model (Blue) with only 5700 km on the meter and in a beautiful condition. Rode for 400 km after picking it up and must say I'm very pleased with the handling.

I've been riding since 1984 (I'm 36 years old) and have owned a variety of bikes from a VF 750 Magna to GL 1500 (6 years) and the BMW R1100S (which I must say wasn't any good).

How many CN are in Sweden?

Hi,

Don't know about the Capo number is Sweden but i'm trying to hunt down a Capo club or in any case an Aprilia club .

Hopefully i'll bump into some other owners this spring, right now my bike is recieving a battery chargers attention and the next week i'll change oil. Always do this when i buy a bike. I work as an engineer in the Navy and i've picked up some bad habits from there .

The next mission is to descide what oil to use since the recommended brand doesn't exist here. Will probably settle for a semi-synth 15-50.

If U have any suggestions please let me know.

Nice country to ride in. Hav'nt been there since 97 with my GL1500. This year i won't go any long trips (last time i checked it was about 2000 km to Italy) but next year will be more likely.

there are several very good oils...

My bike has now more than 43.000 km and I'm very satisfied with Silkolene Comp 4 15W/50... very low consumption and a smooth gear...
