Aprilia On The Road

In the English manual (page 107) it says:

" After washing the vehicle, always:
Remove the left fairing
Remove the cap
Empty its content into a container and deliver it to a salvage centre"

As I've recently done my first washing , I'm not quite what is that, and if i have to do that after every washing..
I don't think that i had to do that in any other bike!

Is it necessary?
What is this cap?
What's the problem if i don't do that?

P.S. You may have already discussed that in one of the other Italian forums, but my Italian are not that good yet!! Hopefully in a few months (years?)

use caution at the instruments, and don't use high pression on the wheel pivot.

i remember from another forum this is the drain of the air box. I now have 6500 km and didn't drain it because i forget it each time i wash the bike. I don't know why this should be done with each washing.
And i can confirm it is not a good idea to use hydroblasting to clean the bike. Use rain water if you can, a mild detergent like the one you use in to wash dishes and rinse again with rain water. It doesn't leave stains.
When using high pressure you push the water where it shouldn't be like in the air box, the bearings, the electronics etc.
Also i wouldn't use any special products to clean the wheel rims as the spoke nipples are prone to corrosion and those cleaning products are known to be quite agressive.

the only thing that changes is the km's, now I've 45.000 km in two years and I've never empty this container...

About the detergent for the dishes, I've heard that you shouldn't be using it since it contains salt which is obviously abrasive.(???)
At the moment I'm using a cleaning product from Hein-Gericke specially for bikes.
Any ideas about it?

For the wheel rims I've used in my Pegaso a 'Wonder Wheels' cleaning product and after about a year they were full of marks and started to lose the paint!!
I've tried now to use a polishing paste that says it doesn't scratch or leave marks for cleaning the rims and spokes.
Any ideas?
What are you using to get rid of the oil?

And finally what about dead flies in the radiator?
